Byron Lee Olivato
Byron Lee started his career in 1998 after completing a National Diploma in Musical Theatre at the then Pretoria Technicon.
He soon found his roots in the highly acclaimed Richard Lorings 'African Footprint' as an Origional Member, Choreographed by Debbie Rakusin.He stayed with the Company for Four years and had the privelege of dancing at 'The Royal Variety Show' and dancing on Robben Island for the Man himself, Mr Nelson Mandela.
after touring China, Byron decided to move into Musical Theatre and landed a role in Kevin Feathers 'Doowah Boys'.In 2002 Byron caught the eye of well renowned Director Janice Honeyman who cast him in his first Pantomime,'Sleeping Beauty' which led to being cast again the following year in 'Jack And The Beanstalk'.
Wanting to gain more experience,Byron focused on Review Shows like 'Best Of The Boys' and 'Calender Boys' headlining as a Lead Vocalist.
By 2006 Byron was spotted by Ivor Jones who cast him as a Lead Vocalist in the Sun City Show, 'Let There Be Rock'.
While in Sun City, He auditioned for 'Snoopy' The Musical, Directed by Elzabe Zietsman.
He played the role of Snoopy.
In 2007, Byron auditioned for 'Hairspray' produced by Richard Loring where he played I.Q and understudyed Corny Collins.It seemed a natural progression as He auditioned for another Richard Loring Production, 'Saturday Night Fever' in which he played Double J, understuding Bobby C.
In 2010, Byron landed a part in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Eltons 'The Boys In The Photograph'.Between 2012 and 2014 Byron was in the Musical 'Jersey Boys' which inspired him to want to move into the Film Medium.
While working Full Time as a Vocalist In a group called Quattro Voci since 2015 He has played the Lead in Jeremy Loops' Video 'What Would I know', and appearing as 'First Mate' in '1923' Produced By Taylor Sheridan in 2023.
