Sibusiso Mamba
Sibusiso Mamba is an internationally acclaimed actor with a distinguished career on stage, film, and television.
A RADA graduate, he has played iconic theatre roles such as Othello, Brutus, Algernon, and Sizwe Banzi, earning a Naledi Award nomination in 2024 for his performance in Fences.
His stage work spans Shakespeare, Athol Fugard, Suzan-Lori Parks, and other international playwrights, showcasing his versatility and dedication to storytelling.
On screen, he has appeared in productions such as Wah-Wah, Doctors, Isidingo, Soul City, and Dichipi, and has lent his voice to numerous radio dramas — most notably reprising his role as Sizwe Banzi for BBC Radio.
Sibusiso’s work reflects his range, depth, and global reach, bringing authenticity and complexity to every role.
Beyond acting, he is a multi-hyphenate creative.
He is a playwright and screenwriter whose award-winning works include Normalcy and Train to 2010.
He has served as a scriptwriter and creative producer for television dramas such as Skeem Saam, Rockville, My Brother’s Keeper, and Smoke & Mirrors.
As a director, he received a Naledi Award nomination for Six Characters in Search of an Author and has directed productions across South Africa, the UK, and the US.
Sibusiso also headed the fiction department at Girl Effect Global, where he oversaw international drama projects.
He is an experienced acting coach and lecturer, having taught at Wits University, Wimbledon College of Art, Rutgers University, and the RADA Summer Conservatory.
In addition, he is a voice artist, MC, dramaturg, and a passionate advocate for inclusivity and diversity in the arts.
His accolades include a Naledi Award nomination in 2024 (his fifth overall), the Peggy Ramsay Playwriting Grant, and the DALRO Encouragement Prize.
