Matthew Dylan Roberts is a versatile actor-writer-director with a wealth of experience in drama. He has received formal training at Rita Maas and the Cape Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he graduated with honours.
In addition, he has obtained merit in scriptwriting and directing from Regardt van den Bergh's Film School.
Matthew also holds ATCL and LTCL diplomas in teaching speech and drama from Trinity College, London.
Throughout his career, he has showcased his talent in over forty professional stage productions, taking on both leading and supporting roles. He has also appeared in television shows, films, and radio dramas for the SABC.
Matthew has had the privilege of working with renowned directors such as Clint Eastwood and Bille August and esteemed actors like Morgan Freeman, Meg Ryan, and Joseph Fiennes.
In 2008, he directed his first film, 'Capitalist Pigs,' and received a Best Actor nomination for his performance in the 2012 film 'Orange Blank Blue.' Matthew's exceptional acting skills were again recognised in 2013 when he was nominated for best actor at the Los Angeles 168 Film Festival for his role in ""Freedom Road,"" alongside Stephen Baldwin and Nate Parker.
